SocialVibe was launched in beta last February and aims at connecting brands with people in order to support the causes they care about. I decided to register, because I wanted to raise money for WWF. As a happy customer, I also wanted Apple to sponsor my efforts to do so.
Each time the ad below is displayed, I will earn point. SocialVibe then calculate the points earned by each members and allocate the money they receive from their partners to the charities accordingly (the more points, the more money).
My only concern is about transparency. Although SocialVibe looks like a non-profit service, they are not. They claim to allocate a sizable amount of their income to charities, but fail to give us more accurate numbers. If I raise money and realise in a year that less than 75% of the money raised is given to charities, I will be quite mad.
